Welcome to the Newcastle R.C. 2001's web site.

We were founded in January 2001 by three keen, local cyclists, who are dedicated to improving the sport, helping young people enter the sport and keeping other clubs on their toes when we belt out champions.

As you will see when you visit our clubroom, we are chilled out and relaxed. The conversation level is light and easy going on a club night. Anyone who's interested in the sport is treated with a friendly approach.

We do concentrate on the younger members in our club, as the children are the future, and if no younger members join up, the there will never be a sport in the near future.

We are affiliated with the British Cycling Federation, Cycling Time Trials and the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists.

Are you interested in joining a club that is:

a local club
that organises local events
that promotes the sport in the local area
that is primarily a racing club that encourages its members to race.

We hold local time trials and road races for ladies, juniors, veterans and ordinary racers; which are always very popular.

Steven Hill selected for BCF Talent Team

One of our juveniles, Steven Hill, has recently been selected for the prestigious BCF talent team. He has a a place for four years, and will hopefully go on to ride in the Olympics in Beijing 2008.
